Welcome to Wyland Cellars 

As brand owner and winemaker, I have always had a passion for wine.  I studied oenology in Vancouver, B.C. Canada and have won many personal awards from crushing fresh grapes.  I hoped that one day I could turn this passion into a business. 

That led me to join forces with my brother Darren and purchase existing winery operations in Canada.  We have successfully owned and operated two wineries in Canada for 15 years.  With some history behind us, our next venture was to move to California and build a new boutique winery and enjoy the Southern California lifestyle.  Our winery was built in the canyon in Laguna Beach in 2003 and we are now living a dream in Orange County. 

Over the years we have produced a spectrum of terrific fruit forward social wines to more complex tannic dinner wines. A testimont to the wine quality - the wines have been awarded ribbons from the Orange County Fair...the largest California wine competition anywhere.

In 2005 we partnered with Wyland, world renowed whaling wall marine artist, to create the Wyland Cellars label.  Wyland Cellars caught the eye of many wine and art lovers with Wyland’s stunning marine life artwork embellished on the labels of red and white premium wines. High quality grapes are sourced from Napa and Sonoma Valleys to create this amazing brand. Selecting grapes from low yield growers will ensure taste, quality and flavor that can only be achieved by producers that are able to personally tend their vines and handpick their fruit.  Wyland's gold medal '05 Cabernet Sauvignon, recognized by the judges at the the nation's largest California wine competition, and two new Napa-Sonoma wine products are a glimpse into what is in store.

Wyland Foundation 

A portion of all the Wyland Cellars wine products go directly to the Wyland Foundation supporting clean waters, clean rivers, the environment and the protection of sea life.  The Wyland Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 1993 by environmental marine life artist Wyland, is dedicated to promoting, protecting, and preserving the world’s oceans, waterways, and marine life. The foundation encourages environmental awareness through education programs, life-size public arts projects, and community events.

Undoubtedly, one of the greatest tools in the effort to protect our water planet is knowledge. Wyland’s art has the unique ability to transform all who view it to a greater awareness. By bridging the worlds of art and science, the Wyland Foundation strives to inspire people of all ages to become better stewards of our oceans and precious water resources. The future of our planet is in the hands of our children. The Wyland Foundation strives to inspire as many people as possible to learn more about our oceans and aquatic habitats and the life within them, and to encourage people to get involved.
